Sheffield based mobility retailer Clark & Partners has launched a new home adaptations brand, Adapt My Home, alongside the appointment of Adam Broomhead as associate director. The move signals a growing trend among established mobility retailers: packaging home adaptation work, from accessible bathrooms to stairlifts and full home redesigns, under a dedicated, design-led service.
Adapt My Home currently supports customers across Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. The brand takes a design-led approach, working with homeowners, families, occupational therapists, case managers and healthcare professionals to understand how a person lives in their home, the challenges they face, and how those needs may change over time.
Debbie Ashton, Sales and Marketing Director at Clark & Partners, said the firm has been adapting homes for more than 30 years, but many people “still don’t realise the scale and complexity of the work we undertake”. She added that products are only part of the solution: “What we’re really passionate about is understanding how someone wants to live and then designing a solution that helps make that possible.”
A notable strength of the service is that most work is completed in-house, and the brand’s accredited Level 4 Trusted Assessors can assess and recommend solutions in many cases where occupational therapist involvement is not required. That can shorten the path from assessment to installation, a common frustration for families arranging bathroom mobility adaptations or larger accessibility projects.
New associate director Adam Broomhead is a respected figure in inclusive design and the specialist bathroom sector, and Clark & Partners says his appointment reflects its commitment to expanding the breadth of home adaptation solutions it provides. The retailer remains fully committed to its four mobility stores, vehicle adaptations and mobility equipment services.
For homeowners weighing up bigger changes, adaptations can range from grab rails and level access showers through to home lifts and structural alterations.
