Stannah Named a Which? Recommended Provider for Stairlifts for the Fourth Year Running

Stannah has been named a Which? Recommended Provider for stairlifts for the fourth consecutive year, cementing its place as one of the most consistently rated stairlift manufacturers in the UK. The endorsement, confirmed in June 2026, makes Stannah one of only two stairlift providers to hold Which? Recommended Provider status this year.

As part of its 2026 assessment, Which? gathered feedback from consumers who had purchased or acquired a stairlift within the previous 10 years, alongside an in-depth review of each provider’s policies and practices. Stannah achieved five-star ratings for delivery and fitting, ease of use, and reliability. The research also found 95 per cent customer satisfaction with how quickly Stannah responded when support was needed and how quickly stairlifts were up and running again after a fault.

Patrick Stannah, Group Director of Stannah Home Accessibility, said the company was “incredibly proud” to retain the status for a fourth year, adding that choosing a stairlift is a significant decision for individuals and their families, and independent recognition gives customers reassurance they are choosing a provider committed to quality, trust and outstanding service.

Marco Luna, CEO of Stannah Home Accessibility, said the firm’s responsibility “extends far beyond installation”, pointing to support throughout the purchasing journey and responsive aftercare when help is needed. That aftercare element matters: ongoing stairlift servicing is one of the biggest factors in long-term reliability and running costs.

The Which? news follows a strong run for the Andover-based, family-owned manufacturer. Earlier in June, Stannah was named Best Overall Stairlift Company for 2026 by the US review platform ConsumerAffairs, and its JOYA stairlift received a Red Dot in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026.

For buyers, endorsements like this are a useful signal, but they are not the whole picture. Prices vary widely between brands and staircase types, so it pays to understand typical stairlift costs before committing, and to compare at least two or three installers.
