Da Vinci Mobility is a Liverpool-based specialist in bespoke wheelchairs and car adaptations, established in 2001. Rather than a general mobility shop, it is a manufacturer that designs and builds made-to-measure wheelchairs and handcycles in house, and a Motability-accredited fitter of vehicle adaptations. The business was founded by Vincent Ross, a former Team GB Paralympic wheelchair basketball player.
The core of the business is custom-built, lightweight wheelchairs for both adults and children, made to each person’s exact measurements, along with handcycles and handbikes and powered add-on attachments. An in-house engineering, welding and upholstery team allows chairs to be tailored closely to the user, which matters for posture, comfort and independence.
Alongside manufacturing, Da Vinci Mobility carries out Motability-accredited car and vehicle adaptations, including hand controls, pedal conversions, swivel seats and wheelchair or scooter hoists for disabled drivers and passengers. The company also services, maintains and repairs mobility equipment and adaptations, and stocks a large range of spare parts and accessories such as wheels and castors, plus standard wheelchairs.
Da Vinci Mobility serves Liverpool and Merseyside and supplies its custom wheelchairs more widely across the UK. For people who need a wheelchair built around them rather than an off-the-shelf model, or who need their car adapted for driving or carrying mobility equipment, the company offers genuine specialist engineering and lived experience of disability.
They are based at 6-8 Carraway Road, Gilmoss Industrial Estate, Liverpool, L11 0EE. They serve Liverpool and Merseyside and supply custom wheelchairs more widely across the UK.

Da Vinci mobility, provide some really high-quality products for sure. When, I picked up my first hand cycle unfortunately it was faulty but they fixed it the same day, I was able to take it back home to Wales which was a very positive outcome. Sadly that particular hand cycle was stolen a few weeks later i’ll be in my bike shed. However, Da Vinci mobility were very helpful and were able to provide me with a second hand hand cycle that was reconditioned to a very high standard which I’m very grateful for, thank you very much for helping with that da Vinci team for sorting that out for me, I am very grateful. Great company good customer service too. Team da Vinci are specialised in disability equipment and are very helpful nothing is too much trouble which is always positive in my opinion!
Cheers Ashley
