Stiltz is a British manufacturer of compact, through-floor home lifts, based at Kingswinford in the West Midlands. Founded in 2010, the company designs and builds its lifts in the UK and has installed more than 25,000 worldwide, selling across the country through its own teams and a network of dealers, and in many countries internationally.
The defining feature of a Stiltz lift is its small footprint and self-supporting dual-rail design. The lift travels through the floor between two levels on its own rails, so it needs no load-bearing walls, no hydraulics and no separate lift shaft, and it plugs into a standard domestic socket. With a footprint of under one square metre, it is among the smallest home lifts available and can fit in places a traditional lift cannot, such as a hallway or the corner of a living room.
The main models are the two-person Duo and the larger, wheelchair-accessible Trio, available in different configurations. Every lift includes safety features such as battery backup for a gentle descent in a power cut, a fall-arrest mechanism, safety sensors and a self-closing door. Stiltz handles the process from a free home survey and quotation through to installation, which can usually be completed in a day once the opening is prepared, and offers annual servicing and a warranty with extended cover options.
Stiltz is a member of the British Healthcare Trades Association and a Queen’s Award for Enterprise winner, and provides UK-wide coverage. For homeowners who want to stay in their home but find the stairs difficult, a Stiltz through-floor lift offers a discreet, space-saving alternative to moving or to a stairlift.

Most homes can take one, as the lift has a footprint of under one square metre. It is commonly fitted in a hallway or living room travelling up to a bedroom or landing, and needs no load-bearing walls.
Once the opening in the ceiling is prepared, the lift itself can usually be installed in a single day. Building work is minimal and no planning permission is needed, only a standard building notice.
Yes. Stiltz provides UK-wide coverage through its own teams and a network of dealers, and arranges a free home survey before giving a personalised quotation.
Stiltz recommends servicing once a year. Lifts come with a warranty, with the option to buy extended cover, and a service line is available if any issue arises.

We bought a duo in 2019 and it is a godsend, allowing us to stay in our home. The only complaint I have is lack of maintenance support. I finally got help from Mr Michael Perdes Miraculously a new agency is opening and they seem to be ok, My lift constantly stops then returns to the first floor and stops again where it refuses to work. I rest it it several times and it does come back but it makes us reluctant to use it, If an agency did not install your Stiltz here in California, they will not service it. Except Mr Perdes was able to get a certified new company to help us .
