Bealift Bath Aid is a specialist manufacturer of bathing aids and postural supports based in Coventry, with over 40 years of experience developing innovative solutions for children and adults with disabilities and special needs. Operating from their premises at Arches Industrial Estate, Spon End, the company designs and manufactures equipment that makes bathing safer and more comfortable for users with limited mobility or complex postural requirements.Their signature Bealift products feature a distinctive manual operation through cord handles, requiring no batteries, power packs, or electrical connections. This battery-free design makes the equipment fully portable, low-maintenance, and reliable without the risk of power failure during use. Built-in locking mechanisms ensure safety throughout bathing, while secure Velcro straps provide additional support for children. The range includes models for babies, children, and adults, with multiple size options available to accommodate different ages, body sizes, and ability levels. Accessories and replacement parts are stocked for ongoing support. For families, carers, and healthcare professionals seeking practical, dependable bathing aids that prioritise safety and portability without relying on electrical power, Bealift Bath Aid provides British-manufactured specialist equipment backed by four decades of design and manufacturing expertise.
The Bealift is a product rather than a shop, and it is unlike most bath lifts sold in the UK. It is a manual hammock seat on a double U-frame: the outer U acts as a lever, and one helper swings it through an arc to lower the user into the bath and raise them out again. There is no motor, no battery and nothing to charge. It was designed for disabled children and smaller adults, and it is made in Coventry by Bitteswell Employment Alliance, a registered society (number IP24510R) that has been going since 1984 and sells direct.
Checked on 17 August 2026. There is no Trustpilot profile, no retrievable Google rating and no Amazon listing. For a specialist product made by a small social enterprise that is unsurprising, but it does mean there is no independent record of how it performs over years of daily use.
