Prime Big Deal Days Mobility Deals: 20 Scooters, Riser Recliners and Rollators Checked

Cardboard package labeled Fragile sits on a doorstep outside a brick wall and front door.

October 2026 edition. Prime Big Deal Days runs from 00:01 BST on 6 October to the end of 7 October 2026, for Prime members. We recorded every price on this page on 5 October 2026. Deal status: not checked yet. The event opens at 00:01 on 6 October and we re-check each morning.

Paid links: the Amazon boxes on this page earn us a commission if you buy. The verdicts come from our four rankings and were written before this page existed. No maker or seller paid to appear here or saw the page before it went live.

The short answer

We are watching the Amazon prices of 20 mobility products we have already ranked: 8 scooters, 6 riser recliners and 6 rollators. On 5 October, the day before the event, we recorded what each one cost. During the event a product is marked Down only when its live price is below that record. An RRP, a “was” price or a percentage badge does not count.

  • One of the 20 already carried an “Early Prime Deal” badge on 5 October, the Days 100 Series rollator. It is cheaper than a week ago, but a week ago its Amazon price was the highest recorded since 2013. What the deal claims say.
  • Amazon itself sells 3 of the 20. The other 17, including all 8 scooters, come from other sellers trading on Amazon, and that decides who handles returns and VAT relief.
  • If you can buy VAT-free, a Prime discount has to be bigger than about 17% before it beats a mobility shop charging the same price before VAT. The sum is below.

What we found the day before the event

We read all 20 Amazon listings, logged out, at about 14:30 BST on 5 October 2026, and looked each one up on camelcamelcamel, the free Amazon price tracker.

  • Only 1 of the 20 had a deal badge on 5 October.
  • Of the 20 products on this page, 17 are sold through Amazon by other sellers, and none of the 8 scooters is sold by Amazon itself. One marketplace seller accounts for 8 of the 20.
  • Two of the three products Amazon sells itself were not ready to ship: the Aidapt Sandfield listing said “Usually dispatched within 6 to 7 months” and the Aidapt Ecclesfield said “Temporarily out of stock”.
  • camelcamelcamel had a usable Amazon price history for only 2 of the 20 products on this page. Both had reached the highest price it has recorded for them inside the three weeks before the event: the Days 100 Series on 28 September, and the Livewell Jaunt on 20 September, which was still its price on 5 October.

That last finding is the reason this page keeps its own record. For most mobility equipment there is no public price history to check a deal against, so a percentage badge is the only number a buyer sees.

How we check a deal

The 20 products are the top picks from four of our rankings, where every figure was checked against the maker’s own documents: folding scooters, car boot scooters, riser recliner chairs and rollators. We took each ranking from the top and kept the models that are sold on Amazon UK. Nothing was added because it looked cheap.

On 5 October we recorded each product’s Amazon price from Amazon’s product data feed, the same feed that fills the price boxes on this page, and compared it with the listing itself. They matched on 18 of the 20 and were within a pound on the other two. We noted the seller, the stock message and any deal badge at the same time.

On the mornings of 6 and 7 October we check every product again and give it one of four labels.

  • Down: the live price is below our 5 October record.
  • Level: within a pound of the record.
  • Up: above the record. This does happen during sales.
  • Unavailable: out of stock, or no longer offered.

You will not find an Amazon price typed into our text. Amazon’s affiliate rules only allow its prices to be shown through its own data feed, so the live price sits in the box under each product and updates by itself. We also ignore RRPs, “was” prices, “typical price” lines and countdown timers. A discount measured against a recommended price tells you nothing about what the product sold for last week.

A Down label tells you one thing: the product is cheaper on Amazon than it was the day before the event. It does not tell you that a mobility shop is dearer, and with VAT relief a shop often is not. See the VAT sum.

Mobility scooters: 8 we are watching

Five folding scooters from our folding ranking and three that come apart for a car boot from our boot ranking. Every one of the eight is sold on Amazon by a mobility retailer, so the price is that retailer’s decision and the returns terms are theirs too. A scooter is a heavy, costly thing to send back. Read the seller’s returns page before you order.

Drive AeroCarbon folding, ranked 1st of 8

Our verdict (documents last checked 28 September 2026)

The best folding scooter here: 15.44 kg with its battery fitted, a 125 kg rider limit, a three-year frame warranty and documents that agree with each other.

Before you buy: the listing title says 13kg. Drive’s leaflet gives 15.44 kg with the battery fitted; the 13 kg leaves out the battery, armrests and cushions. Drive prints the battery as 25.2 V with no amp-hour figure, so ask the seller for the watt-hour rating before you book a flight.

Monarch Genie Ultralight folding, ranked 2nd of 8

Our verdict (documents last checked 28 September 2026)

The lightest one-piece lift of the eight at 14 kg, but Monarch publishes no battery voltage and no warranty period.

Before you buy: the 12kg in the listing title is the weight without the battery. Plan on lifting 14 kg. Ask the seller in writing what warranty comes with it, because Monarch’s page gives none.

Freerider Luggie Elite folding, ranked 3rd of 8

Our verdict (documents last checked 28 September 2026)

The highest rider limit here at 145 kg, with range published at two rider weights; the trade-off is a 25.8 kg lift.

Before you buy: the 12.5 miles in the listing title is the manual’s figure for a 90 kg rider, and the listing says so. At 145 kg the same manual gives 7.5 miles.

Our verdict (documents last checked 28 September 2026)

The best of the self-folding scooters for paperwork: full battery rating, a 125 kg limit and a stated warranty, at 27 kg.

Before you buy: this folds itself, but it is still 25 kg with the battery out. Most people will need a ramp or a boot hoist to get it into a car.

Monarch Smarti Plus folding, ranked 5th of 8

Our verdict (documents last checked 28 September 2026)

A self-folding scooter at 19 kg, 8 kg lighter than the Drive, held back by a missing battery voltage and no published warranty.

Before you buy: Monarch’s UK page says 19 kg and its US page says 39 lb, about 17.7 kg. Neither gives a warranty period, so get one from the seller before you pay.

Livewell Jaunt car boot, ranked 1st of 6

Our verdict (documents last checked 28 September 2026)

The best boot scooter here: a 15.9 kg heaviest piece, a 136 kg rider limit and a maker that still lists it.

Before you buy: Amazon lists it under the Livewell name, but the Jaunt is a Drive product. On 5 October its listing price matched the highest third-party price camelcamelcamel has recorded for it since tracking began in January 2019. A small discount on that price may still leave it dearer than it used to be.

Our verdict (documents last checked 28 September 2026)

The lightest heaviest piece of the six at 15.2 kg and honest range figures, but Pride UK no longer lists it.

Before you buy: the newest Pride documents we found for it date from 2010 to 2013. Ask the seller who carries out warranty repairs before you order.

Our verdict (documents last checked 28 September 2026)

A current Pride boot scooter for riders up to 136 kg, with a 17.75 kg heaviest piece; on the standard battery Pride’s own sheet says 5.5 miles.

Before you buy: check which battery the listing includes. Pride’s documents give the battery as 17 Ah in one place and 18 Ah in another, and the longer ranges need the bigger pack.

Riser recliner chairs: 6 we are watching

The top six from our riser recliner ranking. Two of them are sold by Amazon itself, and on 5 October neither was ready to ship. A sale price matters less than the delivery date if someone is coming home from hospital next week.

Aidapt Walmesley riser recliners, ranked 1st of 10

Our verdict (documents last checked 30 September 2026)

The best-documented chair here: dual motor, 160 kg, a named fire standard, and paperwork that agrees with itself.

Before you buy: the power-cut back-up runs on two 9 V batteries that do not come with the chair, so order them at the same time. Leave 72 cm behind it.

Drive Memphis riser recliners, ranked 2nd of 10

Our verdict (documents last checked 30 September 2026)

Dual motor, 150 kg and a battery back-up built in, from a maker that still lists it. Fire safety and warranty get very little detail.

Before you buy: ask the seller what the warranty covers and who comes out if the motor fails. Drive’s own pages say very little about either.

The lowest seat here at 43.5 cm, with a 160 kg limit. Single motor, and two different warranty figures.

Before you buy: Aidapt’s spec sheet says “12 Months” and its manual says “Two-year warranty on chair lift mechanism”. Ask the seller which one you are getting.

Pride Camberley riser recliners, ranked 4th of 10

Our verdict (documents last checked 30 September 2026)

Dual motor with a battery back-up and a five-year warranty figure, but a 127 kg limit and no current maker page.

Before you buy: Pride UK no longer lists the Camberley, so the seller is the one who will have to honour that warranty. Get its terms in writing.

Our verdict (documents last checked 30 September 2026)

The Walmesley’s features with a higher seat, but the manual carries another chair’s measurements.

Before you buy: on 5 October Amazon’s listing said “Usually dispatched within 6 to 7 months”. Check the dispatch line on the day you order. A discount on a chair you might wait half a year for is worth less than it looks.

A 160 kg chair sold for tight spaces, but its own manual asks for 65 cm behind it, not 4 inches.

Before you buy: Amazon showed it as temporarily out of stock on 5 October. If you are buying it for a small room, measure for the manual’s 65 cm until Aidapt says otherwise.

Rollators: 6 we are watching

The top six from our rollator ranking. Two are sold on Amazon by byACRE, the maker, and one by Amazon. The Days 100 Series is the only product on this page that had a deal badge before the event started.

Rollz Air rollators, ranked 1st of 14

Our verdict (documents last checked 1 October 2026)

The highest weight limit in our ranking, on a frame that weighs about 5 kg, with the same limit in every Rollz document we read. Plan on 5.0 kg for the Regular, not the 4.7 kg in the headline.

Before you buy: the listing says “Only 4.7kg”; the Rollz manual gives 5.0 kg for the Regular. Rollz says the Air cannot be used as a wheelchair, so do not buy it to push someone seated.

Our verdict (documents last checked 1 October 2026)

The best-documented outdoor rollator we found: big wheels, 150 kg, 7 years’ warranty and every figure you need to choose a size. Take the manual at its word: roads and paths, not rough or steep ground.

Before you buy: Topro markets it as “The All-Terrain Rollator”, and its own manual says it “is not suitable in rough and/or steep terrain”. Buy it for pavements and park paths.

Our verdict (documents last checked 1 October 2026)

The second-highest weight limit in our ranking, in four sizes at around 7 kg. Measure the seat height yourself when it arrives: the maker’s two documents differ by up to 2 cm.

Before you buy: this is the one product here that was already an “Early Prime Deal” on 5 October. Read what that badge was measured against before you treat it as a bargain. The Medium listing says “Holds up to 160kg”; the maker gives 165 kg, so the listing errs on the safe side.

What the listings and the deal badge claim, against what we found

A sale pushes the headline numbers in a listing title to the front. These are the ones on this page that differ from the maker’s own documents, plus the one deal badge we saw before the event. The document checks come from our rankings, on the dates shown there. The badge and listing titles were read on 5 October 2026.

ProductThe claimWhat we found
Days 100 Series (Medium, blue)Amazon, 5 October: “Early Prime Deal”, with a 15% saving shown against an RRPcamelcamelcamel has tracked this listing since 2013. It recorded the highest Amazon price of that whole period on 28 September 2026, eight days before the event, and a lower one on 2 October. The deal price was below both. It was above the list price camelcamelcamel holds for the listing, and above the average Amazon price it shows across those 13 years.
Drive AeroCarbonListing title: “13kg”15.44 kg with the battery fitted, in Drive leaflet LL552. The 13 kg leaves out the battery, armrests and cushions.
Monarch Genie UltralightListing title: “12kg”14 kg with the battery fitted. 12 kg is the weight without it, by Monarch’s own page.
Freerider Luggie EliteListing title: “12.5mile (90Kg Capacity)”Correct for a 90 kg rider. Freerider’s manual gives 7.5 miles at 145 kg, and its spec sheet says up to 10 miles.
Pride Apex RapidPride: 11 miles, its longest range figurePride’s own sheet gives 5.5 miles on the standard battery.
Aidapt EcclesfieldAidapt spec sheet: “Wall Hugger (4 inch minimum from wall)”Aidapt’s manual: “minimum of 65 cm behind the chair”.
Rollz Air (Regular)Listing: “Only 4.7kg”5.0 kg in the Rollz manual.
Topro Olympos ATRTopro: “The All-Terrain Rollator”Topro’s manual: “It is not suitable in rough and/or steep terrain, neither for stairs.”

None of this shows that a seller or a maker set out to mislead anyone. Headline weights are often measured without the battery, and ranges with a light rider on flat ground. Amazon describes an RRP as a price suggested by the manufacturer, supplier or seller. What it does show is that the number in the title is not always the one to plan around, and that a percentage off says nothing about last week’s price.

Prime discount or VAT relief: the sum

If you are chronically sick or disabled, you can usually buy equipment designed for disabled people without VAT by signing a short declaration. Most scooters, rollators and riser recliners sold for disabled people qualify, and the seller can tell you whether a particular model does. Our VAT relief guide covers who is eligible.

VAT is 20% on top of the price before VAT. Taken off a price that includes VAT, it is one-sixth, or 16.7%. So take a mobility shop selling a model VAT-free at the same pre-VAT price as an Amazon seller. A Prime discount has to be bigger than 16.7% before Amazon works out cheaper for you. Delivery, assembly and returns can move the answer either way, so compare the full cost.

VAT relief through Amazon is less direct. When we read Amazon’s VAT relief help page on 21 September 2026, it described a refund after you buy, claimed with a declaration, and its declaration form said orders “not sold by Amazon.co.uk” go to the seller. Seventeen of the 20 products on this page are sold by other sellers, so ask the seller before you order whether it offers VAT relief, and how.

When we compared 14 identical mobility aids in September, Amazon was cheaper or level at full price on 11 of them, but a specialist was cheaper on 8 of 14 once VAT relief was applied. The full price-gap audit shows every row.

Four checks before you buy in the sale

Look at who the seller is. On this page that ranges from Amazon itself to the maker to a mobility retailer, and each has its own returns terms for something as big as a scooter or a riser recliner.

Read the dispatch line on the day you order. One chair on this page said six to seven months on 5 October.

Match the model to the maker’s page. The Jaunt is sold as Livewell, and some listings carry figures from an older version of the product.

If the product has a lithium battery and you plan to fly, get the watt-hour rating in writing. Drive and Monarch do not print enough to work it out for three of the scooters here.

Frequently asked questions

When is Prime Big Deal Days 2026?

6 and 7 October 2026. Amazon said the deals start at 00:01 BST on 6 October and run for 48 hours. The deals are for Prime members.

Are mobility scooters cheaper on Prime Big Deal Days?

We will know on the morning of 6 October, and the status labels on this page will say. On 5 October none of the eight scooters we track had a deal badge. All eight are sold by mobility retailers trading on Amazon, so any discount is their choice.

Is an Amazon Prime deal cheaper than a mobility shop?

Not always. If you qualify for VAT relief, a shop selling VAT-free at the same pre-VAT price beats any Amazon discount smaller than 16.7%. In our September audit of 14 identical aids, a specialist was cheaper on 8 once VAT relief was counted.

What does Down mean on this page?

It means the live Amazon price was below the price we recorded for that product on 5 October 2026, the day before the event, when we last checked. It does not mean the product has never been cheaper, and it says nothing about prices in mobility shops.

Can I get VAT relief on Amazon?

Sometimes. Amazon’s help page describes a refund after purchase, claimed with a declaration. For products not sold by Amazon itself, the declaration goes to the seller, so ask the seller first.

Will this page be updated for the next Prime event?

Yes. This page is kept for every Prime sale. Each event gets a new edition at the top, and the earlier editions stay below it with their results.

Editions

October 2026 is the first edition of this page. When the next Prime event comes round we will add a new edition above it. The October 2026 record, results included, will stay on the page as it stood at the end of the event.

What this page does and does not say

We have not tested these products. The verdicts come from our rankings, which check each product against its maker’s own documents; the dates are in each verdict. Deal labels are snapshots taken at the times shown at the top of the page, and Amazon prices can change within minutes. A product being listed here means it ranked well with us, and it is not a recommendation to buy during this sale. A gap between a listing and a maker’s document is not evidence that a product is unsafe. This page is not financial or tax advice.

Spotted something wrong? Email hello@reviewmobility.co.uk and we will check it and correct the page.
