About Mikes Mobility

Mikes Mobility is a family-run mobility shop in Bulwell, Nottingham, founded in 2009 by Mike Meehan. The business has grown to two stores in Bulwell and a branch in Hucknall, and sells, services and repairs a wide range of mobility equipment, with a focus on practical, friendly advice and strong aftercare.

The shops stock both new and reconditioned mobility scooters and powerchairs, along with manual wheelchairs, walking aids such as rollators and walking sticks, rise-and-recline furniture, stairlifts, and daily living and bathroom aids including commodes and shower products. Used machines are quality-assured, and many new and used scooters can be bought on a pay-monthly basis with a low deposit and interest-free terms.

Repairs and servicing are a core strength. Mikes Mobility services and repairs scooters and powerchairs of any make, including those not bought from the store, with home call-outs from a fixed fee, a 24-hour response Monday to Friday, and loan scooters if a repair takes longer. The shops also offer free battery testing, which can usually be done on the spot to flag a failing battery before it causes a breakdown.

For people in Nottingham who want a local, family-run shop with new and reconditioned scooters, flexible payment options and dependable repairs, Mikes Mobility offers a straightforward service across its Bulwell and Hucknall stores. The team can advise on the right scooter or aid for a person’s needs and budget.

Honestly Mike, the service you have all given to us has been A1* for honesty, friendliness, compassion & speed. You made me feel comfortable when I asked about a potential change of seating for my Grandad & immediately began to find a solution for us.

We are extremely happy with the 2nd chair, His Lordship appears very comfortable 👍

Will be in touch about a new table soon.

Thank you all again for being a “one in a million” company, keep up the good work.

Terrable customer service sell second hand scooters with no service what so ever paid 1200 for a scooter after just 12 weeks needed to scrap it they wouldn’t fix it for me unless I paid extra for repairs that I couldn’t afford left me with no scooter and unable to leave my house all they care about is taking disabled people’s money from them

Hi ‘KJB’ this is Kirsty from Mikes Mobility

we’re sorry you feel you have not had the standard of service we pride ourselves on here at Mike’s Mobility.
However, your review is slightly misleading.
All of our pre owned scooters come serviced and with a 3 month Warranty, this is standard for a pre owned scooter and is all explained at purchase.

Unfortunately as with anything bought second hand there is a risk involved, much the same as buying a second hand car.

If you would like to give us your full name and details of the scooter I will certainly look into this.
