Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) is a user-led registered charity established in 1991 by three local disabled people in Warrington, England. Now internationally acclaimed, the organisation delivers 27 mobility and independent living services from their Centre for Independent Living on Evelyn Street, Warrington, with additional locations in Liverpool and across the Warrington area.WDP operates the Disability Trading Company, running three local showrooms that sell mobility equipment and daily living aids, with 100% of profits reinvested into the charity’s services. Beyond retail, WDP provides peer counselling, personal assistance services, transport solutions, access advice, employment support, education and training, Shopmobility services and comprehensive information and guidance for disabled people and their families.With nearly 50 staff members and approximately 200 volunteers, WDP maintains a 99% service user satisfaction rate. The charity also organises the annual Disability Awareness Day, described as the world’s largest voluntary-led pan-disability independent living show and Warrington’s largest community event. For over 30 years, WDP has championed independent living and provided practical mobility solutions, making them a unique resource that combines equipment provision with holistic disability support services.
