Our vision at ableMove is enabling disabled people across the globe to explore their own new possibilities whilst also promoting greater accessibility and inclusion to eradicate barriers faced by disabled people in society.

Our mission is to improve the day-to-day life for those living with a physical disability by promoting greater confidence, freedom, choice and safety in everything we do. We do this by designing innovative products for wheelchair users that solve common everyday problems.

Our Founder, Josh Wintersgill, is a passionate traveller and has enjoyed exploring far flung corners of the globe, however in recent years, found the challenges presented for him as a wheelchair user when travelling by aircraft were becoming more and more restrictive and a seed of an idea was born which resulted in the development of our now hugely popular ableSling (formerly known as the easytravelseat). Whilst originally developed primarily to assist with transfers on and off aircraft, it soon become apparent that the ableSling was being used by wheelchair users across the world in a whole variety of other day to day scenarios.

ableMove now supply a whole range of wheelchair accessories designed to make day-to-day living for wheelchair users, easier, safer, more comfortable, dignified whilst promoting greater freedom.

Our range of products include the ableSling and ableSling Lite, ableDry, ableStraps and ableHarness. They all work well together or separately, and we are always happy to discuss with you, your own particular needs and advise what works best to suit your lifestyle.
