The trading company behind the brand is Acorn Mobility Services Ltd, company number 02593771, incorporated 21 March 1991 and listed as Active at Companies House (checked 4 September 2026). A separately registered company, Acorn Stairlifts Ltd, is dormant (noted 17 August 2026). In an industry where the median stairlift company survives 2.6 years, 35 years of trading is a meaningful signal for warranties and spare parts.

On Trustpilot, Acorn scores 4.8 out of 5 from 11,682 reviews (17 August 2026). Its standard warranty is 12 months, with optional extended cover available beyond that (per Acorn’s own materials, 17 August 2026).

In 2019 the consumer group Which? published an investigation into stairlift selling that reported time-limited discounts being offered in Acorn sales appointments. That is their report, in their words, and it is several years old; Acorn’s customer ratings since are strong.
