Bewick Mobility

Bewick Mobility is a family-run business that was founded in 1991 as a specialist driving school, assessing and teaching customers in the use of adapted vehicles.

We fitted our first set of Bekker hand controls and left foot accelerator in 1991 and have grown year on year into the North East’s leading vehicle adaptation and barrier-free living specialists. We supply everything, from walking aids to highly adapted wheelchair accessible vehicles. We have two spacious showrooms with scooters, wheelchairs and living aids from a range of manufacturers on display. So, if the weather is wet or windy, you can test our range of scooters and wheelchairs without going outdoors.

We also offer test drives with adaptations from both our Stockton and Blaydon centres. This can help identify any adaptations to help you with driving, accessing the vehicle or stowing your mobility product. The driving can be carried out on off-road areas which are free from traffic. In our showroom we have on display a range of the adaptations, from hand controls and left foot accelerators to boot hoists and wheelchair stowage.

We also have living aids, riser recliners and more on display in both showrooms. A range of styles and colours are available from stock or special order.
