Glenmore Mobility is a family-run mobility equipment retailer based on Dalry Road in central Edinburgh, with a second branch in Bathgate. The company sells and hires a full range of mobility and daily living equipment, and is known for free assessments and a try-before-you-buy approach rather than pressure selling.
The product range covers mobility scooters, manual and electric wheelchairs, powerchairs, riser-recliner chairs, adjustable and electric beds, high-seat chairs, walkers and rollators, access ramps and daily living aids. A particular strength is hire: scooters, wheelchairs, powerchairs, riser chairs, beds, walking aids and ramps can all be rented short or long term, with local delivery and free collection from the city-centre store, which suits visitors to Edinburgh and temporary needs.
Free mobility assessments are offered in the showroom, at home, or in nursing and care homes, and there is a try-before-you-buy option where the trial cost is deducted from any subsequent purchase. The company also provides servicing and maintenance to keep equipment running.
Glenmore Mobility serves Edinburgh and the Lothians, including Bathgate, Falkirk, West Lothian and East Lothian, with responsive coverage across eastern and central Scotland. For people who want a local, family-run retailer offering both sales and flexible hire, with free assessments and home visits, the company provides a practical, personal service.

I wish more people were more savvy with social media. I was misled when buying a mobility scooter. They seem to dismiss everything you say about your requirement needs. If a person they need something they should respect that. The one I got was supposed to be new and the small back wheels were loose..it definitely was not new as claimed and it’s so big I struggle to get it in flat
I bought a wheelchair eletrick one. Once I received it the arm rests locks you had to press but I phoned and I was told that you just press it down. did not look new. Then the arm rests did not look new they have marks on which tells me that it is not new.
Due to a sudden bereavement we we’re forced to cancel an order that we only recently placed with Glenmore. The help and consideration that we received from the staff was first class.
Thanks again

I phoned to ask if they stocked Sherborne riser recliner chairs. This was immediately confirmed so I set off to view the range of chairs. On arrival I searched but couldn’t find a single chair.
I was approached by the manager and asked to see a Sherborne chair. He led me to a chair and when I asked if this was a Sherborne he said it was. On challenging him he assured me it was. I pointed out the remote did not show the brand name he said it was still a Sherborne style chair.
It took me an hours drive to get there and was not impressed at all. I had to tell him I had been misled. To my face he denied this.
I will never return. Be aware.
