I took delivery of a scooter which was not suitable for my weight after being told repeatedly it was When it arrived it stated on the side it was not able to take my weight rang middletons with in 30mins waited another week for them to collect was told my refund would be 4th or 5th of January now on 10th getting very upset and gonna take legal action. Would never recommend or use again

Having received a brochure I was phoned time after time asking if I had made up my mind. When eventually I had I phoned several numbers only to be cut off after 4 rings. I pressed the button to speak to customer services only to be told I could not be connected.. same result phoning a couple of branches!l Have read some damaging reviews. I visited the Marsh Barton showroom today.
It wasn’t clear where the entrance was initially until I looked through the window.
I was greeted warmly by the manager Caron Sprake. She was very efficient & explained which scooter was best suited to which environment. I was impressed by her knowledge & was allowed to trial one.
It was a valuable experience & I would highly recommend the Exeter branch.

I totally agree with the above reviews re bad customer service. I have just received a replacement scooter after battling for 3 months. Being fobbed off with promises of a new one and promised phone calls which never happened. We’ve inundated them with phone calls and after threatening legal action have unbelievably delivered replacement today! Firstly the front wheel came off whilst I was using it, then an engineer did eventually come to repair it stating that the other 3 wheels were loose. Then using it again it suddenly stopped and would not go. Would never deal with Middletown’s again, their after sales service is practically non existent!

I had a visit to demonstrate 8 mph scooters chappie came with a pride executive very nice fitted a treat but a bit dearer so chose colt sport but sales chappie failed to mention the colt was 9″ shorter I only discovered when the scooter was delivered. I felt cramped I requested a change and paid an additional sum for the executive. Middletons have my money so far there has been no swap. If I talk to customer services I get nowhere no explanations just put on hold. I’m regretting going to Middletons.

Total waste of time and money. I been waiting almost 2 months to get my mobility scooter repaired but always being fobbed off and lied to. Being without my scooter is making life worse and I even got asked to pay £550 to pay for work then claim it back from the insurance company. I’m on benefits for chist sake, I ain’t got it. 2 weeks in a row they kept saying someone will call you tomorrow. Very quick to take the sale but not interested when you make a claim on the insurance
